Terms of Service
These Terms of Service govern your use of the Greenlight Publishing website at greenlight-publishing.com and the Greenlight app for iOS. By accessing the site or using the app, you agree to be bound by these terms. They’re short on purpose.
1. The Service
Greenlight Publishing is a digital-first book imprint. We publish original fiction in ePub and audiobook formats. This website provides information about our catalogue, authors, and available titles. Outside our apps, our titles are sold through third-party retailers (Amazon, Apple Books, Audible, Kobo, Spotify, Google Play, etc.). In the Greenlight iOS app, all digital content is sold exclusively via Apple In-App Purchase.
2. Content preview
We offer first-chapter previews of selected titles free of charge. These previews are provided for personal, non-commercial use only. You may not reproduce, distribute, or modify preview content without written permission.
3. Greenlight app: subscriptions & purchases
Greenlight Unlimited is an auto-renewable subscription that unlocks every book and audiobook in the catalogue while your subscription is active. It is offered as a monthly plan ($9.99/month in the US) and a yearly plan ($59.99/year in the US); local prices are shown in the app before you confirm a purchase.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
- The subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your device’s Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Cancelling stops future renewals; access continues until the end of the paid period.
Book unlock is a one-time purchase ($4.99 in the US) that permanently unlocks a single title — text and audiobook — for the Greenlight account that bought it. Unlocked titles and subscription entitlements sync across the app and our websites through your Greenlight account; sign in with the same account to access them anywhere.
Refunds for purchases made in the iOS app are handled by Apple. You can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. Plans purchased on our website are billed by Stripe and honored in the app the same way.
4. Intellectual property
All content on this site and in the app — including books, audiobooks, book descriptions, author biographies, cover art, editorial reviews, and collection descriptions — is the property of Greenlight Publishing or its licensors and is protected by copyright law. All rights are reserved. Purchases and subscriptions grant you a personal, non-transferable license to read and listen, not ownership of the underlying works.
5. Third-party links
This site contains links to third-party platforms where our books can be purchased. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of these platforms. Your purchases on those platforms are governed by their respective terms of service.
7. Limitation of liability
This site and the app are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. Greenlight Publishing shall not be liable for any damages arising from your use of or inability to use this site or the app.
8. Changes
We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the site or app constitutes acceptance of any changes. Material changes will be announced on the news page and via the newsletter.
